Then, we lost the next two games! "It's okay," Brian reassured me. "It's still early in the season and we just need 6 games to be bowl eligible." Then, we won a couple of games! But, then, we lost a couple more, again. Things were beginning to look rather dismal. Oh, well, I thought. I guess we'll just make a fun family activity out of it, regardless of who plays.
Well, our Cougars pulled through for us, and made it to the Poinsettia Bowl. True, they were predicted to lose, but, hey, the girls were excited to wear their Cheerleader outfits (thanks, Grammy!), and we were excited to cheer on our Alma Mater.

Auntie Logan's flight was scheduled to land in San Diego about when the game started, and Grammy Tammy wasn't super thrilled about going to a football game, so she volunteered her ticket to Logan, and offered to watch Carson, who, ended up begin sick with a yucky cold (thanks, anyway, Grammy!).
We got to the stadium and the girls were elated! They just loved it! All the fans and the excitement and the cheerleaders and Cosmo! But, despite their excitement, BYU was beginning to disappoint. We began to lose interest in the game, and, instead focused on watching for Papa Dale and Auntie Logan to come. (Still can't quite follow the whole story, but, there was something about a broken cell phone, mixed with a late flight, mixed with picking up dinner at a drive thru? Doesn't really matter, and I've digressed...)
| The girls saw everyone in the parking lot tailgating, so, they wanted to join in on the fun. We opened up the trunk and they ate their Los Cabos burritos! |
Right after half time, Papa Dale and Logan finally made it! We were so excited to see them! We shared with them the sad news about the game, and all got settled in, hoping for a better second half. And, boy, was it ever better! Not only did BYU come from behind to win the game, but, all of the key plays were made right in our end zone! Couldn't have asked for better seats!
We had promised the girls they could each get one treat from concessions. They thought it was so cool that the people walked up and down the rows and you could just holler and buy your food from your seat! So, Sadie picked cotton candy and Morgan picked hot chocolate.

| Why sleep when you have a loose tooth? (She was out as soon as we got on the freeway!) |
Such a great family memory!
