California or Bust!!

We made it!  Still trying to put life together, but we're here, in California!  We know this is the right decision for our family and are anxious to see what's in store for us in Sunny Cali!

Here's a few update pictures:

Morgan always wants to hold her little brother.  She says, "He's such a cute boy!"

Our first 2 weeks here, we had an even fuller house.  Alie, Tyler, and Baby Jack were getting ready to move out, into their own place.  But, until they did, we improvised for sleeping arrangements.  Sadie napped on the couch (actually didn't fall off, despite what it looks like in the picture).

Carson slept in the hall and wore a burp cloth over his face to block the lights.  He was right at the top of the stairs and all of us were going up and down while he slept!

What's a Summer evening without homemade ice cream?  We enjoyed the fruits of our labors.

The girls re-friended (is that a term??) the chickens.  Here they are, feeding the ladies and Ginger yogurt and oatmeal.

Here's Carson with Grammy Tammy.

Some nights, the girls had a slumber party in the loft.  I don't know how this could possibly be comfortable for either kid!

Morgan's first day of Kindergarten: August 30, 2011.

Carson loves the bathtub!  (Thanks, Jones family!)

Brian started working this past Tuesday, and, unfortunately, has yet to spend less than 3 hours in the car each day.  Going up to Irvine, he's hit traffic at 7 am on Tuesday, 6:30 am Wednesday (Marines must report on base at 7 am, we think), cruised right up at 6 am on Thursday, but it took over 2 1/2 hours coming home, due to the county-wide power outage that spread into Arizona! Friday, he seemed to time it pretty well, so we think if he leaves at 6 am and 3:55 pm, he shouldn't have too much trouble (only about 55 min - 1 hr each way).  Wish him luck (and safety!)!
