Writing Alligator

Morgan came home from school last week with a letter that I thought I'd pass along:

Hi Mom and Dad,

Writing takes lots of muscles that I might not have used much.  This simple clothespin can help me exercise my "writing muscles" (i.e. developing fine motor skills).  All I have to do is use my pointer finger and thumb to open and close it over and over.  (Make the "alligator" mouth go chomp, chomp, chomp.)  I need to be sure not to sneak any other fingers to help, though!  That way I do a really good job working the right muscles.  We've been practicing this at school.  If you could remind me to practice at home, too, that would help me develop my writing skills.  Thanks!

Love,
Morgan
